jasvir

Jasvir is 12 years old and her responsibilities are overwhelming for a child her age, yet her face will never show the burden she bears. At the age of 7 she became the head of the household. She takes care of her elderly grandmother and two younger brothers, Jagtar and Gurpreet who are absolutely oblivious of their situation.

They live in a rundown home with no running water, electricity or bathroom. With no breadwinner in the house, a meal a day means a good night sleep. Despite all odds, Jasvir is hopeful and holds on to her dream to become a singer someday.

Find out about Jasvir's home renovation project!
